Choosing Human Health Means Creating a Sustainable World
There are many benefits to eating a plant-based diet that are broader than simple human health. Not only can you reduce your risk for disease, your dietary practices directly support a healthier environment. The livestock sector generates more greenhouse gas emissions as measured in CO2 equivalent – 18 percent – than transportation.
Your financial support helps the T. Colin Campbell Foundation to improve and increase our educational tools and programs, thus contributing to a growing awareness in the public about the universal benefits of a plant-based diet.
Take care of yourself and take care of our planet!
Your Support Counts
TCCF Mission:
- Provide life-saving health information to the public
- Support health care professionals and patients exploring healthful dietary intervention that emphasizes whole food, plant-based diets
- Promote a dietary lifestyle that is sustainable for the planet
A Personal Message from Dr. Campbell
Our mission has led us to the creation of this website, a comprehensive and powerful tool for those seeking scientifically rigorous information and practical support in eating a plant-based diet. This website has been a massive undertaking, requiring great input of resources to achieve its current level of excellence. However, there is still quite a bit of work to do if we are to accomplish the full scope of our plan, and our intention is to wean the Foundation itself from dependence on donations to generating enough income, through our online courses and other projects, to support itself.
I especially wish to thank four sources for their generosity to get us to the stage that you now see. These are Dr. Sylvester Johnson, PhD, Mr. Nicholas Betzhold, The Federico Fundacion and Takaho Watayo, MD. I have had the exceptionally good fortune of securing two staff, Meghan Murphy and Micaela Cook (both Cornellians) and one advisor, Bruce Rogers (a Princetonian) who have worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to build this program. But we are not there yet. We are specifically seeking funding now to facilitate the transition from dependence to self-sustaining income generation, as we have several more stages of work ahead before our first series of online courses is finished. We appreciate your support!
