How is your health?

My health is great. I've been eating a plant based diet for the past 5 years and I've had more energy than I can ever remember.

What kind of value do you place on plant-based nutrition?

I place a huge value on it. I believe that what we eat is what we become. So I try to fill my day with nutrient dense food that helps me to maintain an active and energetic lifestyle.

How do you incorporate plant-based nutrition in your practice?

Our programs are all Plant-Based programs. I deal a lot with obesity and weight loss due to it's relation to back pain. I've found no better way to lose weight quickly than a plant-based high nutrient eating plan. It's vital to how our nutrition plans work.

How has plant-based nutrition improved the quality of care that you are able to deliver?

It's enabled me to be active throughout the day. I don't get tired and don't need a nap half way through the day. It's been fantastic and it keeps getting better.

Services your practice offers?

How is your health?

Very Good. I exercise and eat primarily a plant based diet. I feel good everyday with excellent energy, and very good sleep.

What kind of value do you place on plant-based nutrition?

I place a very high value on a plant based diet. Over the years I've seen the patterns that my clients seem to complain about and how much it is connected to their diet. On their first week of a new menu, they start to feel more energy, better sleep and leaner. It's always validating to hear and see the transformation by the brilliant work of the body given the correct foods to eat.

How do you incorporate plant-based nutrition in your practice?

My menus suggest clients start their first week without dairy and very small amounts of meat with 3/4 of their plates full with vegetables and whole grains. We progess from their with baby steps to get the mind caught up with the brain. I work with my clients for 16 weeks, and each week is geared toward a graduated educational format on foods and diet.

How has plant-based nutrition improved the quality of care that you are able to deliver?

The changes have been extremely positive, especially for my clients. They start to feel well in the first week and it continues to progress so during the 16 weeks they are still interested and motivated because we meet weekly. This allows me to stay in touch with their daily menus and food behaviors which helps keep them on track developing a new eating lifestyle.

How is your health?

As a born and raised vegetarian and a newly converted vegan, I have had absolutely no health issues throughout my life. I have a 6 year old son who has also been raised vegetarian. He has had no health issues and I hope to continue to educate the public about the benefits of a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.

What kind of value do you place on plant-based nutrition?

I place the upmost value on a plant based lifestyle. I am looking to educate my patients on the benefits of a plant based diet, as well as learn more for myself as a physician. I am currently researching different opportunities to provide more scientific evidence that a plant based diet is best.

How do you incorporate plant-based nutrition in your practice?

I am currently researching the best ways to incorporate this into my practice. As the only vegan at my practice, it is important that I approach a plant based diet carefully with my patients as I deal with many sensitive subjects pertaining to children. I have often found that having parents make slight adjustments in their children's diets have been helpful, however would appreciate some information to help me further pursue this.

How has plant-based nutrition improved the quality of care that you are able to deliver?

With the chances that I have had to encourage parents to adopt some plant based nutrition habits, I have seen incredible results. Although most families have yet to adopt a strictly plant based diet, I am finding that slight modifications in diets (i.e. limiting milk) have had significant benefits when it comes to asthma, ear aches and other respiratory issues. These reoccurring issues in children, I believe, may be a direct result from the high consumption in milk. As a result, I am interested in further pursuing the effects of animal protein versus plant protein in children.

How is your health?

Excellent! I train multiple days per week and eat a whole plant-based diet. I never get sick. My metrics are well within the normal ranges (although I am now aiming to get my total cholesterol under 150).

What kind of value do you place on plant-based nutrition?

I believe that poor dietary habits are by far the greatest public health problem in our country. I (we) can help individuals, families and perhaps a community, and it starts with whole plant-based nutrition. I've seen dramatic changes within my own practice.

How do you incorporate plant-based nutrition in your practice?

Combining team fitness training with nutrition classes has a potent effect on personal motivation. Exercise makes you strong, powerful and fast. While food controls your waist and weight and leads to exception health. The proper foods are those in a whole plant-based diet. I've incorporated this through class lectures, individual counseling, corporate lectures, cooking demos, healthy snack hand-outs and by petitioning local restaurants to add one whole plant item to their menus.

How has plant-based nutrition improved the quality of care that you are able to deliver?

I've seen dramatic changes in standard healthcare metrics (ie total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, glucose, BMI...), along with decreased or succession of maintenance meds (DM, mood disorders, statins, pain meds). But even more fun are the changes in a persons power output. You can fitness train all you want, but if you are not eating an optimal diet based on whole plant foods you will continue to hamper your performance. It is a lesson most athletes are slow to learn but readily embrace when the results are in!

An Oasis of Healing

Services your practice offers?

Our center needs to be distinguished from a treatment facility to a healing center. A treatment facility implies that the role of the patient is passive, as if they are dropping off their car to have it repaired. A 'healing center' implies that the patient is actively participating in both shared and individual activities which are resulting in life changing habits that promote health, not cancer and all other degenerative diseases. Our center focuses primarily on cancer (oncology) although we do see other people with other conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular conditions, etc.

The services we offer can be subdivided into three areas:
a) Stop Making Cancer
b) Target cancer without causing harm to the immune and other systems in the body
c) Rebalance and enhance immune function

The interventional modalities to target cancer include IPT (Insulin Potentiation Therapy) which uses insulin to prime the cancer cells specifically, allowing us to use a small, usually 10% dose of chemotherapeutic agents (drugs). Also, high doses of ascorbates in order to achieve a plasma level of between 350-400 mg/dl of ascorbate. Sodium selenite, like IPT, takes advantage of cancer cells, adaptive and primitive biochemistry.

The other therapies we use to enhance immune function and stop making cancer include but are not limited to:
a) 100% Plant based, unprocessed, unheated and organic foods
b) 14 to 21 to 30 days of vegetable juicing (exclusively)
c) Colon hydrotherapy
d) Lymphatic drainage through infrared technology, rebounding, exercise, skin brushing and massage
e) EWOT (Exercise with Oxygen Therapy)
f) Intravenous oxidative therapies, including Ozone, UBIV, and H2O2
g) Psychological balancing through individual and group therapies
h) Structural Integration (manipulation of fascial planes to allow structural integrity to be restored)
i) Yoga, Pilates and other traditional techniques
j) Botanical medicine
k) Education regarding the human body, its' nutritional needs and how to best obtain them without the incorporation of "junk food" (non-food)
l) Food preparation classes along with education on what is necessary and how best to obtain it, i.e., fermented foods, fresh unheated organic food, lipids, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, etc.
m) Acupuncture
n) Autonomic nervous system rebalancing
o) Bio-identical hormone balancing
There are more but this list is close to comprehensive.

How is your health?

Excellent!

What kind of value do you place on plant-based nutrition?

We only hire people who understand the importance of why eating a living plant based diet is imperative to health. It is the foundation of our program and every interventional modality we use. As Voltaire said, we are only considered "entertainment"...musing the patient …while it is Nature that cures.

How do you incorporate plant-based nutrition in your practice?

We have a course of study, which includes the viewpoint of zoology, that classifies humans as primates and discusses the anatomic and physiologic correlations of a plant based diet; as well as, all religious perspectives, epidemiology and animal based experimentation. We then have chef training classes from learning to sprout, ferment, and prepare living foods that are not only necessary but taste good. We provide three raw vegan meals per day, fresh vegetable juices and snacks for each patient and their family members.

How has plant-based nutrition improved the quality of care that you are able to deliver?

Within two weeks of being at our center, our patients' energy is increased, their moods are elevated, their strength is improved, their tumor(s) begin shrinking, their biochemical markers, such as tumor markers, organ functions, electrolytes, etc. all improve. The discussions around the center are humorous with recipe sharing and the atmosphere is one of fun and healing, not complaining, disabling, fear and/or hopeless. The plant-based diet changes their pH, CRP and other markers, which are the biochemical correlates of hope and happiness.

I believe that a whole foods, plant-based diet is the way to go for optimal emotional and physical health. It has the ability to treat and prevent many physical diseases and is enormously helpful in treating and preventing “dis-eases” of an emotional sort.

How has plant-based nutrition improved the quality of care that you are able to deliver?

I am able to assist clients in moving above and beyond the typical 12-step approach that is generally used in treating addiction.

What kind of value do you place on plant-based nutrition?

Plant-based nutrition helps with so many chronic conditions! I had a patient this afternoon whose LDL cholesterol dropped 50 points just by cutting out meat. Those types of results assure me that Nutrition is the cornerstone of our health. It can be a long journey for some and that's OK- I believe that even small changes can produce big results.
